Guest post writing guidelines
- Submit original content only (this means your post was not published elsewhere before, including your own website)
- Word count: 1,500+ words
- SEO-optimized for one longtail keyword or phrase
- Content must be proofread and grammatically correct
After publishing:
As a guest author, I expect you to:
- Respond to comments left by readers under your guest post
- Share your guest post on your social media channels and with your subscribers (if applicable), so it gets maximum traction

Our readers are hoteliers from around the world who want to up their direct booking game by improving their online presence. They’re mainly in the sales, marketing or revenue department or run their own property.
Tone of voice
- Informative: share interesting insights that add value and inspire readers
- Fun and friendly: build a rapport with readers with a relatable tone (stick to second person where possible e.g., addressing the reader directly in your text by using ‘you’)
- Honest: I want this blog to be a trusted resource, so let’s keep it real here 😊
- Not salesy: your post shouldn’t be focused on about selling something or promoting a service, but about sharing your expert knowledge
Style elements
- US English
- Spell out numbers one through twelve
- When speaking about currency, use USD as a standard
Formatting
- Include one H1 and as many H2 and H3 heading as needed
- Add emphasis where relevant (bold or italic)
- Use bulleted lists to increase readability
- Add links to relevant websites as well as content on hospitality-copywriting.com
- Keep paragraphs short (maximum of 2-3 sentences)
